Father travels six hours to hug daughter, scene touches more than 10 million people

Parental love doesn't stop when children grow up. Although they may not rely on their parents as much as they once did, there are times when they need extra support, and then parents instinctively know what to do.

So, one father, Coy Collins, felt that his daughter needed something more than a phone call. Without thinking, he got in his car and drove six hours to surprise her.

The video of this emotional encounter shows the moment the girl enters the apartment, unaware that her father is already there.

As he talks to the person he's filming, Coy waits patiently in the kitchen. When she sees him, her reaction says it all – surprise turns to tears, slowly walking towards him.

Without a word, he opens his arms, and she unhesitatingly goes into the embrace. They linger for a long time in that emotional moment, as she wipes away tears.
