A British woman, Lucy Harrison, 23, from Warrington, Cheshire, was shot dead by her father while visiting Prosper, near Dallas, on January 10 last year.
According to investigations, she had had an argument with him about US President Donald Trump.

At an open hearing by the Cheshire Coroner, Harrison's boyfriend, Sam Littler, described the "great debate" over Trump, who was then about to begin his second presidential term. Littler said Lucy often became concerned when her father talked about guns.
The investigation also revealed that the father, who had immigrated to America when Lucy was a child, had previously attended rehabilitation for alcohol addiction.
On the morning of January 10, during the Trump debate, Lucy asked her father, "How would you feel if I were the girl in that situation and had been sexually assaulted?"
Kris Harrison had replied that he had two other daughters living with him, so it wouldn't bother him too much. After that, Lucy sadly went upstairs.
A little later, about half an hour before leaving for the airport, his father took him by the hand and led him to his room on the first floor. A few seconds later, Littler heard a gunshot and his father screaming for his wife. Lucy was found lying near the bathroom.
