Far-right Israeli politician Ben Gvir hails Trump's idea as 'the only solution'
Far-right Israeli politician Itamar Ben Gvir was quick to praise Trump, describing the president's idea of relocating Gazans elsewhere as "the only solution."
In a social media post, he said that "encouraging" Gaza residents to emigrate from the enclave was the only correct strategy, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to approve this policy "immediately," the Telegraph reports.
"When I said time and time again during the war that this was the solution for Gaza, they laughed at me," he added.
"Now it is clear: this is the only solution to the Gaza problem – this is the strategy for 'tomorrow'."
Ben Gvir, who is part of a movement that advocates Jewish settlement in the territory, resigned from Netanyahu's cabinet last month over the ceasefire agreement. /Telegraph
