The winner of the second edition of Big Brother VIP Kosovo, Lumbardh Salihu, failed to secure a seat in the Kosovo Assembly in the last parliamentary elections.

Salihu ran in these elections as a candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo, with the number 77 on the electoral list of this party. However, he failed to receive the necessary votes to be included among the 15 deputies that the LDK has secured in this legislature.

According to the results so far, the former footballer from Vitia has received a total of 3,469 votes, ranking 68th on the LDK list in terms of the number of votes. This result leaves him far from the threshold needed to win a mandate as an MP.

This is not the first time that Lumbardh Salihu has attempted to enter the Assembly, as in the previous elections he had failed to secure sufficient support to win a parliamentary seat.

On the other hand, the Democratic League of Kosovo is expected to have only 15 deputies in this legislature, which represents one of its weakest results in the parliamentary elections, compared to the history of this party.

Lumbardh Salihu's result shows once again that television popularity does not necessarily translate into electoral support, while the race for votes remains dependent on party structure and the direct trust of citizens. /Telegraph/
