European giants take steps forward, ready to pay Nico Williams' release clause
Nico Williams continues to be one of the most sought-after young strikers by top European clubs.
The Spanish striker was a priority for Barcelona and English teams in the summer, but decided to stay at Athletic Bilbao.
However, it seems that his future is far from the Basque club, as many top clubs are after him.
Bayern Munich have taken steps forward to secure the services of the winger.
Sport Bild has reported that the current Bundesliga leader is ready to pay the player's release clause, which is 58 million euros.
English teams such as Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have also shown willingness to pay Nico Williams' release clause, however Nico seems to be pulling out of the opportunity to play for Bayern.
The 22-year-old has scored nine goals and assisted seven others in 36 official matches this season. /Telegraph/
