Few names were as talked about in the football media last summer as Nick WilliamsSurprisingly, he decided to stay at Athletic Bilbao, but now the winger seems to be reconsidering his decision.

Williams caused one of the biggest surprises of the summer transfer window by extending his contract with the Basque club, although Bayern Munich and Barcelona were also in the running for him.

However, after several months and a disappointing season so far (30 matches), the Spaniard is reportedly thinking about his future again.

According to Teamtalk, Williams could consider a move away next summer. This has reportedly been communicated through intermediaries to several major European clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and again Bayern Munich.

Williams' new contract runs until 2035, but includes a release clause worth around €100m. The player's representatives are said to be exploring possible options in the market.

As for Bayern Munich, the German club is looking for a winger to gradually develop behind Luis Díaz, but it seems unlikely they will invest a nine-figure sum for Williams.

This is especially due to the fact that the player has had ongoing hip problems throughout this season, which could jeopardize his place in the World Cup squad. /Telegraph/
