Espionage indictment: Photos, diagrams and sketches, how the defendants tried to create a damaging narrative about the KLA war and organ trafficking hospitals

Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerimi were arrested and later charged with the criminal offense of espionage.
The Special Prosecution alleges that the defendants, through communication with senior officials of the Serbian BIA, provided them with information and documentation related to the recent war in Kosovo, names of soldiers, names of doctors, trying to link the yellow house and the Mollopolc military hospital for organ trafficking.
Among the evidence listed in this indictment are books provided by the defendants that were written about the last war in Kosovo, its superiors, and the KLA military hospital in Mollopolc.
According to the prosecution, excerpts from various books and newspapers were used by Shabani to provide for the purposes of the Serbian BIA, trying to link the case of the "Medikus" Hospital and the "Yellow House" where human organ transplants were allegedly performed.
Chapters from the book "Health in Ferizaj and its surroundings in the 20th century" were taken and sent to BIA structures in an attempt to provide evidence regarding the recent war in Kosovo.
The indictment further explains how the defendant tried to create a harmful narrative about the state of Kosovo, in particular the KLA war, by attempting to denigrate both the doctors and medical service providers at the Mollopolc hospital during 1998-1999, trying to link all of this to the case of the "Yellow House" in Burrel, Albania.
The accused even tried to elaborate on these as best he could, compiling sketches and photographs to explain the connection figuratively.
Furthermore, the prosecution, in one of the pieces of evidence where the accused was under covert measures, confirms that Shabani constantly insists on using the book regarding the improvised military hospital in Mollopolc as evidence.
"You still don't know what book you have received and what its value is... the problem is to meet and start working, while it is not a problem for me to go and explain everything about the books and if necessary I will send you the original so that you don't think that I have invented anything" - describes the conversations between Shabani and Srgjan Rosic and Bogoljub Janicevic.
On 17.05.2024, according to the prosecution, Shabani crossed the Dheu i Bardhë border crossing by bus and returned to Kosovo a few hours later on the same day. The prosecution describes Shabani as having made a 10-minute stop on 16.04.2024, where he crossed into the territory of Serbia and then returned to Kosovo.
At these border crossings, the Prosecution says that Shabani had physically met Serbian BIA officials and had provided them with the aforementioned documentation and information.
Among the evidence obtained by the Special Prosecution Office, it is said that Shabani had also received information about cases involving the Special Court in The Hague, from various media outlets.
Thus, on 25.05.2023, an article was published with the title "Richard Grenell meets with Rama: We must do more to release Hashim Thaçi".
Other evidence obtained by the Special Prosecution Office is the book "Life Can Defeat Death" which presented experiences and events during the last war in Kosovo regarding various events.
Another piece of evidence provided by the SPRK is another book on the topic "The KLA Military Hospital of the Pashtrik Operational Zone. According to the prosecution, this book presents experiences and events during the last war in Kosovo, mainly devoted to the health aspect - various treatments of the wounded and their treatment by various doctors who operated in these areas.
The prosecution says that notes and content parts of books related to the KLA war were extracted from these books, citing an 11-page script in which there are notes and photos of people from the Kosovo Liberation Army, including Hashim Thaçi, Fatmir Limaj, and Musa Jashari, who have been identified by name and photo.
What has surprised the Special Prosecution Office is how the accused Shabani managed to obtain private messages from people who had communicated on social networks about the war in Kosovo.
From all this evidence elaborated by the SPRK, it was concluded that this information was intended to address the activities of KLA superiors, medical staff from the war zones, more specifically the Mollopolc hospital, i.e. the personnel who contributed to this hospital by listing them with names and photographs.
All this information and documentation was given to the Serbian BIA through Bedri Shabani to Srgjan Rrošić and Bogoljub Janičević. The prosecution claims that this data was used by the Serbian state for its own interests.
The prosecution had examined the phones found in Shabani's possession, where they had found numerous notes on these phones that are suspected of being information gathering to be sent to the Serbian BIA.
"I've been waiting for your answer, I remember there's nothing" - according to the prosecution, it was implied that he was waiting for a response from someone in Serbian.
Another photo taken from the defendant's seized phone contains a text that mentions several newspaper headlines about the internationals' attempt to abolish the Special Court, which according to the prosecution was intended to inform the Serbian BIA.
Another text received by the Special Prosecution on the accused's phone "I will not waste time and will continue my path that I have planned for a long time, but I have been waiting only for you", so according to the prosecution this is a waiting for a response from a messenger with the nickname "Gjoka" informing him that he will not be here from May and personally believes that they will not invite him at all, referring to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in The Hague.
The prosecution strongly believes that Shabani had conducted telephone communications with Serbian BIA officials through a phone he kept in his bedroom closet, for the purpose of espionage.
The phones seized by the prosecution are believed to have contained a large number of photographs that were used by the accused for espionage.
The SPRK had also managed to collect writings that Shaban had made to the Special Prosecutor's Office in The Hague expressing suspicions about crimes committed during the KLA war and is concerned that things are not going according to plan and that Shaban is willing to cooperate with them.
The prosecution had managed to produce as evidence another article where Shabani had written to the Specialized Prosecution Office to investigate further the Mollopolci Military Hospital.
The list of data that Bedri Shabani had collected also included the names of people who had testified against Slobodan Milosevic.
During the elaborate evidence, there are also several folders, one of which is called "Diagrams", containing a total of 60 photographs that the accused structured in the form of a diagram, the actions of superiors and members of the KLA in the way he was arrested (according to him on July 14, 1999), how he was treated during detention, as well as other actions, presented in sketches.
Bedri Shabani had exercised his right to remain silent both in the Police and in the Prosecutor's Office.Kallxo.com
