Erling Haaland to Real Madrid – the formula that could make this transfer happen
It may come as a surprise, but Erling Haaland could leave Manchester City, even though he recently extended his contract with the English club.
The Norwegian is one of the most promising strikers in world football and, of course, he has no shortage of offers.
Real Madrid are following in the footsteps of Erling Haaland in an attempt to bring in another "galactico", as Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe are already in the squad.
The striker is wanted by Florentino Perez, who wants to offer a welcome "gift" to Xabi Alonso, the future coach of the Kings.
Real Madrid want to sell Rodrygo, a Brazilian unhappy with his current status at the club but whose performances have not been at their previous level, and with his sale will raise money for the transfer of Erling Haaland, writes football365.
In exchange for the Norwegian, Real Madrid must pay 170 million euros, the equivalent of the termination clause in the contract with Manchester City, which will be activated in 2026.
Haaland also has a very high salary at Manchester City, over 30 million euros per season, and Real Madrid would have to rise to this level for the striker to say "yes".
Erling Haaland has a contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2034. He has scored 30 times and provided four assists in 41 games played in all competitions this season with Manchester City. /Telegraph/
