Erion Veliaj responds from detention: I have a life working alongside Edit, the SP is taking the right stance

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has once again spoken from the front lines.

Responding to Euronews' questions, he said that he owes it to his family and the city to fight for innocence.

Veliaj also focused on the stance of the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Rama, describing them as doing the right thing and expressing his full trust in the prime minister, saying that he has a life working with him.

"Therefore, the Socialist Party and Edi Rama are doing the right thing, the system will be supported and the anomalies they have produced must be addressed - just as the Strasbourg Court says in the Hysa and Gëllçi cases. The prison-prison-prison idea, in addition to making protection unequal, will produce a bill that will not be paid by Ols Dado and Erion Bani, but by the Republic. So, the taxpayers," Veliaj said.

Veliaj said that on Tuesday he would argue that he was declared convicted on the front page; sued by Nesti Angoni, who according to him does not exist, and was asked to show remorse, when there was still no charge, emphasizing that he was given a 20-year vetting, something that, according to him, has not been done to anyone else.
