Erdogan gifts world leaders with a Turkish-made car

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has continued his grand tour of Asia, while also following the practice of donating vehicles to officials he meets with.

After gifting a Turkish-made TOGG vehicle to the Malaysian Prime Minister, Erdogan did the same during his visit to Pakistan.

During an official visit to the Southeast Asian country, he presented a model of the domestically produced electric vehicle, the Togg T10X SUV, to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. Erdogan sat in the passenger seat as Sharif tested the vehicle.

In addition to the prime minister, the president of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, also received a gift car.

"Our President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, presented the Turkish electric vehicle Togg to the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan," a statement from the AK Party said.

Erdogan also followed the same practice in Indonesia, where he gifted the same model of vehicle to the country's prime minister.

The Togg T10X is a fully electric C-segment SUV produced by the Turkish company Togg. This model began production in 2022, and the company plans to release five different electric vehicle models by 2030. /Telegraph/
