Erdogan attacks Trump and Netanyahu: No one can take Gaza from the Palestinians

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that US President Donald Trump's plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza poses a major threat to world peace.

Speaking on Indonesian television Narasi, Erdogan addressed Trump's plan to remove more than 2 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, assert US control over it and turn it into the "Riviera of the Middle East," writes Reuters, the Telegraph reports.

"I see Trump's decision to make such a deal with a murderer like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a great threat to world peace," Erdogan said.

"At the moment, no one can take Gaza away from the Palestinians, from the Gazans. The audacity to do something like that is, first of all, a very big threat to world peace," the Turkish leader added.

Erdogan also said he does not consider Trump's statements accurate, which constitute what he called "a challenge for many countries in the world."

"My hope is that such mistakes are corrected as soon as possible and that a global giant like the US quickly corrects these mistakes so that global peace can find a way to succeed," he said.

Otherwise, the Arab world has expressed anger and European powers deep concern over Trump's proposal that Palestinians should be permanently relocated from Gaza to allow it to be developed as a coastal tourist property under US control. /Telegraph/
