Epstein files reveal audio recording claiming Tony Blair was paid "large" sums for advice.
An audio recording of a conversation between the late Jeffrey Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak contains claims that former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair earned vast sums of money from his work as a consultant after leaving government.
The recording, released by the United States Department of Justice as part of a body of documents related to Epstein, shows conversations about ways former politicians can make money after leaving office.

In the recording, Barak says that Blair, for example, may have earned about $11 million a year from the government of Kazakhstan for consulting and lobbying assistance for non-governmental organizations or UN organizations.
Epstein, commenting on the figures, said he hears that Blair receives "huge sums - 5 million here, 10 million there, 5 million somewhere else", but expressed skepticism about the accuracy of these amounts and how much of them actually went to Blair.
Blair's spokesman told Al Jazeera that Blair never discussed the profits with Epstein or Barak, and that payments for the work in Kazakhstan were not made to him personally, but to the organization he runs, which employed people for that work, adding that it was consistent with work that other international institutions were doing. /Telegraph/
