Albania has benefited from direct assistance from the United Arab Emirates in the fight against fires that have engulfed several areas of the country during August.

For a three-week period, 72 Emirati security forces personnel, along with two Black Hawk helicopters, have been engaged in intensive air and ground operations.

The assistance provided has included dozens of coordinated interventions to extinguish fires, significantly assisting the Albanian authorities in controlling and managing the emergency situation.

Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, expressed deep gratitude for the Emirates' contribution, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in dealing with natural disasters.

"Thank you for the solidarity, professionalism and cooperation with the Albanian troops who protect life and nature every day with dedication and sacrifice. Thank you, Jazīlan!", said Vengu.

This cooperation strengthens the close relations between Albania and the United Arab Emirates and demonstrates the willingness of both parties to assist each other in times of need. /Telegrafi/
