Air, sea and land traffic in Istanbul is interrupted due to fog

Dense fog has disrupted air and ferry services, and today stopped traffic in Turkey's largest city, Istanbul, Anadolu Agency reports.

In a statement, the prefect of Istanbul said that air traffic returned to normal after being disrupted at 06:39 local time due to dense fog at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport on the Asian side.

Some ferry services were also canceled due to the foggy weather.

Poor visibility caused difficulties for drivers especially on the city's TEM and D100 highways.
