Elon Musk shares video of SpaceX's $3 billion Starship — before it blasts off into orbit

Elon Musk has shared a new video showing SpaceX's Starship rocket on the launch pad in Boca Chica, Texas.

According to foreign media, Telegrafi reports, Musk, who is the CEO of SpaceX and Twitter, posted the video with the title "Starship preparing for launch".

The $3 billion rocket has a staggering height of 120 meters and is said to be the most powerful rocket in the world.

And, that being said, it could be a matter of days before we finally see it fly.

The government's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said earlier this week that Starship could explode as early as Monday, April 10.

Despite this being expected to happen in just five days, Elon Musk's firm still needs a license to start the event, although this could be granted by Monday.

SpaceX's historic launch will act as an early milestone in Musk's ambition to transport people and cargo to the Moon and Mars, making us a 'multiplanetary' species. /Telegraph/
