Elon Musk says he's shocked by the level of hate and vandalism happening towards Tesla

Elon Musk has some words for "Tesla vandals."

Asked about widespread incidents against Tesla dealers and vehicles during an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday, Musk denounced them and said the vandalism had reached levels he had never seen.

He also attributed the incidents to those of the political left, foreign media write, reports Telegrafi.

"It's really shocking to me that there is such a level of hatred and violence from the left," Musk said.

Protests have spread across the US since Musk began his job with the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, in January.

And the slogan "Don't buy a Tesla" has been used as a kind of rallying cry in places like Berlin and Wales.

"I always thought that the left, you know, the Democrats were supposed to be the party of sensitivity, the party of caution, and yet they're burning cars, they're bombing dealerships, they're shooting dealerships, they're destroying Teslas," Musk said.

"Tesla is a peaceful company," he said. "We have never done anything harmful."

Musk also suggested, without evidence, that the protests and incidents of vandalism could be part of a broader conspiracy against him.

"I mean, who's funding it and who's coordinating it? Because this is crazy. I've never seen anything like this."

Since January, DOGE has been working to reduce government costs and what it describes as fraudulent spending and corruption.

The effort has sent representatives to numerous federal government agencies and examined federal programs such as the Social Security Administration. /Telegraph/
