At the largest energy conference in the region, CIGRE 2025, Electra LLC successfully presented its 17-year history, a journey that brings together innovation, international standards, and global partnerships in the energy sector.
Founded in 2008, Electra has gone from a local company to a regional technology hub, with collaborations with international companies such as ABB, Schneider Electric, Megger and GE Vernova. With projects ranging from 10(20) kV distribution networks to SCADA systems, Electra has played a key role in the modernization of Kosovo's electrical infrastructure.
One of the most important projects remains the “Kitka” Wind Farm (32.4 MW), the first project of its kind in Kosovo, where Electra was the main contractor responsible for the supply, construction and full commissioning of the substation and power grid. This project marked a historic moment in the country's green transition.
In recent years, Electra has expanded its production activity, becoming the first company in Kosovo certified as ABB Value Provider and Master EcoXpert Power Distribution by Schneider Electric. Today, the company produces hundreds of medium and low voltage panels under international licenses, products that are already exported to Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
With exports of over 1.1 million euros in 2025 and successful participation in the "The Smarter E Europe" fair in Munich, Electra has proven that "Made in Kosovo" technology can compete with dignity in European markets.
