Edona Llalloshi joins Vetëvendosje, runs for deputy in the February 9 elections
Wednesday was the deadline for political entities competing for the central elections of 2025, which will be held on February 9 in Kosovo.
The Vetëvendosje movement was almost the last to make public the official list of its 110 candidates - one of which was a surprise in itself.
The well-known singer Edona Llalloshi is on the list as a candidate for deputy from the ranks of the VV in the February 9 elections, with number 19.
The news of her joining the Vetëvendosje Movement was also made official by the leader of this party, at the same time the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
"Edona Llalloshi is one of the most loved names of our music scene. In her three-decade career, apart from her quality creations, she has stood out for her special personality. It is part of our list for the big win. With Edona, we will be even more dedicated to art and culture. Greetings, Edona", Albin Kurti wrote on the Facebook social network.
Edona otherwise has a long and quite successful career in music, while until now she had not made it known that she had any political ambitions. /Telegraph/
