The European Union Office in Kosovo has welcomed today's approval by the Kosovo Assembly of the agreement on the Growth Plan.

According to the EU, this step paves the way for Kosovo to benefit from 882 million euros in the form of grants and loans with favorable conditions, intended for the implementation of reforms that advance the country towards Kosovo's European integration.

"The approval of the agreements is a key moment for Kosovo's economic and institutional progress and for its approximation to European standards," the announcement continues.

Otherwise, the Kosovo Assembly has approved the agreement between Kosovo and the European Union on the arrangements for the implementation of the Union's support for Kosovo within the framework of the Reform and Growth Instrument.

Out of 108 deputies, 104 voted in favor, none against, and 5 abstained.

Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, during the presentation of the agreement, said that 1/3 of these funds is a grant.

Of the total amount, around 253.3 million are grants, while the remaining 629.3 million euros will be loans, which will be ratified with a separate agreement.

"Within the framework of this plan or agreement, it is envisaged that Kosovo will benefit from a package of 882,6 million euros, which I can say is the largest allocation in relation to the gross domestic product. So it is about 7% of the gross domestic product that has been allocated to Kosovo," he said.

Representatives of LVV, PDK, LDK, AAK and the multiethnic group expressed their support for this international agreement with their statements.Telegrafi/
