Heavy rainfall, which fell during the night, has caused flooding and numerous problems in the cities of Durrës and Lezha, significantly hindering the movement of citizens and vehicle traffic.

In Durrës, flooding has been reported in several areas of the city, especially at major intersections, where water has invaded the streets and sidewalks. In some cases, water has also penetrated the entrances of buildings and businesses along the roadside, causing concern for residents and traders.

Meanwhile, the situation appears more problematic in Lezha, where as a result of high flows and the inability of the sewage network to cope with the amount of water, floods have been recorded in the "Besëlidhja" neighborhood.

According to media there, the water level has reached up to 40 centimeters, blocking the entrances to buildings and making it difficult for pedestrians and vehicles to move around.

Due to the presence of water in the outdoor areas, the teaching process at the 9-year "Kosova" school in Lezha has been suspended for safety reasons.

Also, a significant increase in flows is reported in the Drin and Gjadra rivers, which are at critical levels.

Local authorities and civil emergency structures are on the ground and are closely monitoring the situation, while citizens are advised to exercise increased caution. /Telegraph/
