Dubai suspends all flights, security worsens
Emirates airline has announced that all flights to and from Dubai have been temporarily suspended and will remain suspended until further notice.
This decision was made for safety reasons and due to the current circumstances affecting air traffic in the region.
In a notice published on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Emirates has urged passengers not to head to the airport until new instructions are given.
The company has emphasized that the situation is being constantly monitored and that it will inform passengers as soon as there are new developments regarding the resumption of flights.
"The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised," the company said in a statement.
According to Emirates, only a few limited flight services have been operated from Dubai and Abu Dhabi so far, using air corridors considered safe.
However, due to the uncertainty in the region's airspace, most air operations have been temporarily suspended.
Passengers are advised to regularly check the official Emirates website or other company communication channels for updated information about flights, possible route changes and options for rescheduling travel. /Telegraph/
