Dua Lipa looks sensational in a sheer black dress at the 50th anniversary Chaplin Awards gala in New York

Dua Lipa never fails when it comes to fashion - and she proved it again as she attended the 50th anniversary Chaplin Awards gala in New York on Monday night, where she honored renowned Spanish director Pedro Almodovar.

The 29-year-old singer caught everyone's attention in a transparent black mesh dress with a daring cut, while posing confidently on the red carpet.

She completed the look with black high heels with shiny straps, and accentuated the style with a large gold necklace, writes Dailymail.

The "One Kiss" hit star wore her dark hair in natural waves over her shoulders, while bronze-toned makeup gave her face a warm glow.

The Chaplin Award Gala is the main annual fundraising event for Film at Lincoln Center and has honored many of the film industry's most prominent names over the years. During the evening, Dua Lipa gave a speech honoring her friend and this year's winner – Pedro Almodovar.

Proceeds from the event will go to the organization's nonprofit programs, including film series, educational initiatives, and major events like the New York Film Festival and "New Directors/New Films."

Her participation in this event comes a few days after the singer published on Instagram some photos from her Easter vacation with fiancé Callum Turner in Albania.

The "Dance The Night" singer looked in great shape in a low-cut red bikini as she enjoyed the sun and sand on an Albanian beach.

In the photo album's description, she wrote "Easter at home" - adding a bunny emoji and an Albanian flag.

In another photo, Dua was seen wearing a short black T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, with her hair tied in a neat ponytail.

The couple was photographed laughing and joking with each other, while in one of the photos Dua pressed her face against Callum's, who was smiling contentedly.

At another point, the two were filmed running and jumping from a pier into the water, with the beautiful Albanian cliffs in the background.

Dua and Callum were first rumoured to be a couple in January 2024 and are said to have gotten engaged towards the end of last year.

Only recently have they gone public with their relationship, as they have rarely been seen together in public before.

In December, it was reported that Callum had romantically proposed to Dua, getting down on one knee. The engagement ring is said to feature a classic single diamond, set in an 18-carat gold band, and is estimated to be worth up to £25.

Jewelry expert Anya Walsh of 77 Diamonds told MailOnline: "The ring appears to be a classic single diamond set on a thick band of yellow gold, looking bold and elegant at the same time."

According to her, a quality 2-carat diamond on such a wide band would be priced at around £20,000 to £25,000. /Telegraph/
