Donald Trump launches strikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels and issues a warning
US President Donald Trump has launched strikes against the Houthis in Yemen.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, he also warned Iran that the country's support for the group must "end immediately."
It is known that the Houthis reported a series of explosions in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.
The rebel-run health ministry said at least nine civilians were killed, writes sky news, the Telegraph reports.
Images shared online show black smoke over the area of the city's airport complex, which includes a large military facility.
Trump said the strikes were due to Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
"Your time is up and your attacks must stop, starting today. If they don't, all hell will break loose," Trump said.
He also stated that Iran will be held "fully responsible" for the group's actions.
The attacks come days after the Houthis said they would resume attacks on Israeli ships sailing in Yemeni waters in response to Israel's blockade of Gaza, although there have been no reported attacks since then. /Telegraph/
