After attempted arrest, Dodik reacts: Bosnia is not a place where we feel safe

The President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, arrived in East Sarajevo this evening, where he held a meeting with the mayor of the city and the mayors of the municipalities that make up the City of East Sarajevo at the Administrative Center of the Government of the Republika Srpska.

Dodik, together with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RS, Sinisa Karan, held a press conference after the meeting.

We recall that today members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) attempted to arrest the president of the Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik, but this was prevented by members of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Sinisha Karan, the current Minister of Police of RS, spoke out and commented on the evening's event, writes klix.ba.

"Peace is the greatest value of RS. RS has been under constant attack for 30 years, through high-ranking representatives, and now they want to attack it through regular law enforcement agencies. Through them they are trying to deal the final blow to RS. The latest event and the intervention of Christian Schmidt is a fatal blow to this kind of Bosnia and Herzegovina. RS has a responsibility to protect itself and protect its order. I will remind you that the RS Assembly has adopted a series of laws to prohibit the activities of Schmidt, the Court and SIPA. I repeat, what happened is a simple provocation, nothing more. This is a political and constitutional crisis," he said.

Karan also added that "those who entered the territory of RS tonight have violated the laws of RS."

Dodik also addressed the media and stressed that he "had no intention of leaving the facility under pressure."

"We held the meeting the whole time, we didn't interrupt it. I feel good. I am alive and healthy. I have no intention of leaving this facility under pressure. This is RS. They have come to RS. They are not agencies supported by RS, they have violated the laws. It will be seen who and how has the power to enforce the laws. We saw that there was also the brother of Kemal Ademović, the former head of AID during the war, who did everything to make the Serbs suffer. The fascist Schmidt – we will try to show how an arrest is made. In the coming days we will draw up that plan. He will be presented as a fake and will begin to answer for this," he said.

The Serbian separatist added that "these SIPA people are trying to show that they can do something."

"They do not act on behalf of RS, they are not its representatives. They represent a 'Muslim den' from Sarajevo and its surroundings. The essential question is: 'in which territory will the power remain'. BiH is not a place where we feel safe. We are here because of the huge investments in East Sarajevo, and this is visible," Dodik declared.

He stressed that he is proud of "these boys who are here," calling them patriots in defense of RS.

Asked by reporters "how to deal with such actions by SIPA in the future," Dodik, visibly angry, replied, "Why are they harassing people who are doing their job? If they think the RS police will back down, they are crazy. They have no idea."

We recall that, in addition to Dodik, arrest warrants have also been issued for the Prime Minister of the RS, Radovan Viskovic, as well as for the President of the People's Assembly of the RS, Nenad Stevandic, which testifies to the depth of the legal and political crisis in this entity. /Telegraph/
