The Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, has arrested a doctor in Vushtrri on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "Accepting a Bribe".
The arrest comes after several months of investigations and special investigative measures.
The spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, Valon Preteni, confirmed to Telegrafi that the suspect with the initials AV is accused of issuing various medical certificates to citizens in exchange for cash.
"Following investigations and verifications carried out by investigative teams, the suspect was arrested and, by decision of the prosecutor, was ordered to be detained for 48 hours," said Preteni.
