The Spanish A-355 road, known as the 'road of fear', has received this name because in just 10 kilometers of it, over the last 12 months, about ten people have lost their lives.
For this reason, new road signs have been installed to increase driver awareness.
This road, which connects the cities of Marbella and Cartama, now has a thick red line separating the two lanes, which has caused confusion for some drivers.
The reason this line is painted red is to warn drivers that overtaking is prohibited on a four-kilometer segment, replacing the continuous white line usually used on other roads.
In addition to this highlighted red line, the segment will be equipped with four additional radars and digital signs that will remind drivers to reduce speed.
In fact, this red line is an effective warning to drivers. Most likely, no one will think of overtaking on this part of the road now. /Telegraph/
