Disagreement over the appointment of directors, is the VV-LDK coalition in Mitrovica being jeopardized?

The head of the LDK branch in Mitrovica, Gezim Plakolli, has stated that the coalition with Vetëvendosje for local governance in this municipality is not in "danger".
He added that there are no discussions about breaking the coalition with Vetëvendosje.
"We are not in discussions about breaking up the coalition. We are only discussing positions," Plakolli said after the meeting with Faton Peci ended.
He added that other meetings will take place tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and that everything will be part of regular discussions.
Plakolli stressed that the last meeting did not bring any new developments and that the situation remains the same.
Meanwhile, Safet Kamberi, chairman of the Municipal Assembly of South Mitrovica from the LDK, has confirmed to Kosovapress that so far there are no new developments regarding the issue of the coalition in the municipality.
"I am not part of the leadership of the branch in Mitrovica, I am not competent to speak about the branch's positions, but as far as I know, there are no dramatic developments. But, I believe that the branch will clarify this issue," he said.
Sources for Kosovapress inform that Peci is not respecting the LDK's proposal for the appointment of directors. The main reason for the disagreement is related to the appointment of new directors without agreement with the coalition partner.
The vote against the coalition occurred after LDK had proposed Gëzim Plakolli for director of Culture, while the mayor, Faton Peci, selected Gazmend Asllani.
