In 2026, we will continue the strategy of sustainable growth, with efficient public spending and a better standard of living. With the completed Budget Proposal, macroeconomic stability and fiscal consolidation will continue, economic growth will be ensured, as well as the servicing of all obligations, including the payment of bond notes, said Minister of Finance Gordana-Dimitrieska Koçoska in the debate on the completion of the Budget for 2026, which is being reviewed in the plenary session of the Parliament as of today.
She emphasized that the 2026 Budget is planned as a real and consolidated instrument for the responsible management of public finances, with a sustainable level of deficit and public debt.
As she said, next year will continue with the reduction of the budget deficit, the stabilization of public debt and the strengthening of the confidence of domestic and foreign investors, while the key to this is the efficient collection of revenues, the formalization of the informal economy and the careful, controlled and economical use of public funds.
"The budget has been prepared with a clear vision, with a responsible approach to public finances and with the aim of ensuring that every denar of citizens' money is addressed where it will bring the greatest return for citizens and the economy. The 2026 budget has been prepared based on expected economic results and positive trends. We managed the account over reality in projections, economy and effective planning, with the aim of ensuring sustainable development, regular functioning of institutions and timely payment of all obligations.
This Budget is not just a document with numbers and tables - it is an economic message of stability, confidence and development.
