The process of evaluating packages of ballots received from postal voting outside Kosovo, which belong to the second round of elections for mayors of 18 municipalities, is continuing at the Counting and Results Center.

As of Friday at 10:00, over 9,800 packages have been reviewed, of which more than 7,240 have been approved, while around 2,570 have been rejected.

This was confirmed to Telegrafi by Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission.

"The most common reason why these packages were rejected is because in 2,500 cases the registration receipt, a document with unique data that the registered voter receives from the CEC, is missing," he said.

Elezi further added that on November 11 and 12, 13,084 packages of alleged ballots were withdrawn from CEC mailboxes in 22 different countries around the world, which correspond to postal voting outside Kosovo in the second round of the elections for Mayors of 18 municipalities. So far, most of them have been brought to Kosovo.

"At the end of this evaluation process, we will publish data on the number of packages with presumed ballots, which will be counted at the Counting and Results Center," he emphasized.
