The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova has announced that, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police - Regional Police Directorate in Gjakova, it has carried out actions regarding suspicions of falsification of voting results during the vote counting process within political entities for the elections of deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, in the Municipality of Rahovec.

According to the announcement, 17 leaders were interviewed as part of these actions.


"All suspects are charged with the criminal offense of "Falsification of voting results" under Article 216, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK). By decision of the State Prosecutor, 9 (nine) leaders have been detained for a period of 48 hours, against whom the Prosecution has filed a request for the imposition of a pre-trial detention measure with the competent court."
