The 21-year-old woman has been released on bail while investigations continue, while the 22-year-old woman remains in custody.

Investigators have appealed for witnesses to come forward with information or submit any CCTV or dashcam footage that may be useful to the investigation via the Public Major Incident Portal.

Croydon Police Chief Nick Blackburn stressed that the incident is believed to have been isolated and security in the area has been reinforced with extra patrols.

He also called on residents to cooperate with the police and report any information that could help solve the incident.

The event has shocked the local community, as Lorik's family struggles to cope with the great loss of a young son.

It should be noted that Lorik is the nephew of singer Ganimete Abazi, known to the public as Ganja. /Telegraph/
