Deda: The crisis for the president would have been avoided if Kurti had told Osmani in time that he does not support him for a second term

Political analyst Ilir Deda has assessed that the current situation in the country regarding the failure to elect a president could have been avoided if Prime Minister Albin Kurti had notified President Vjosa Osmani in time that he did not have his support for a second term.
Through a public reaction, Deda said that such an action would have been "minimum correctness" after a six-year collaboration between them.
According to him, the current crisis is related to the attempt to gain complete control of the institutions in the country.
"This crisis has been caused by the desire for absolute control of every institution in the country," he wrote.
Deda emphasized that a political alliance should not mean silence in the face of violations of the Constitution or institutional abuses. According to him, the interest of the country must prevail over any party interest.
He added that the political game surrounding the president's second term has highlighted the way party politics works, which, according to him, is often based on the parties' momentary interests.
The analyst assessed that the current crisis could have been avoided if a consensual figure for president had been found, in cooperation with opposition parties, instead of political clashes and mutual recriminations./Telegrafi.
