The Central Election Commission met on Saturday evening and approved the change in the date of the draw that determines the ranking of political entities on the ballot for the early parliamentary elections, which are expected to be held on December 28, 2025.
CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi has stated that the draw ceremony, initially scheduled for December 8, will take place one day earlier - on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
He explained that the change was made to enable faster approval of the design and content of the ballots, as well as to start the process of printing them on time.
The decision also creates additional space for preparations related to the launch of postal voting for voters abroad.
The draw ceremony will be held today at 14:00 PM, where representatives of all political entities are expected to participate.
