Counting ends in Tirana: Xhaçka and Tabaku in Parliament, Majko remains outside

The counting of preferential votes for the Tirana district has been completed.

Blerina Gjylameti remained outside the new Parliament, while Olta Xhaçka managed to secure a seat in the hall.

The race between the two socialist ladies was 'head to head' for several days, with Xhaçka ultimately receiving 6213, while Gjylameti received 6085.


Also remaining outside the Assembly are well-known figures from the Socialist Party, such as Pandeli Majko, who so far has 6513 votes, followed by Etilda Gjonaj with 5526 votes.

Plarent Ndreca has also lost his mandate as an MP, having secured 4887 votes so far. Ermonela Felaj is also ranked lower with 4491 votes, followed immediately by Mimi Kodheli with 4296 votes.

On the other hand, in the Democratic Party, Tabaku was the only one to secure the mandate on the open list, collecting 20484 votes, while the well-known doctor Ilir Alimehmeti 18055 votes.

The only MP from the opposition coalition PD-ASHM who is left without a mandate in the new Parliament is the president of the Freedom Party Ilir Meta, who has collected 7962 votes. From the PL, Tedi Blushi and Erisa Xhixho are entering the Parliament as part of the closed list.
