Konjufca: Serbia follows Russia's strategy, the attack in Banjska was an identical scenario to the invasion of Crimea

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, said that the terrorist attack of a year ago in Banjska, by Serbian paramilitaries, was an identical scenario to the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014.

Konjufca made these comments during the international conference "The Impact of Russian Aggression in Ukraine on European Geopolitics", organized by the Institute for Hybrid War Studies "Octopus".

"The terrorist attack that took place against Kosovo in Banjska last year was an identical replica of Russia's aggressive behavior against Ukraine. Serbian paramilitary troops trained by the Serbian army, equipped with the war arsenal of the Serbian Ministry of Defense and with the implementation of Belgrade's aspiration to divide Kosovo, aimed openly and belligerently at the annexation of the northern part of Kosovo, which case in defense of sovereignty and integrity in the war with this paramilitary group, KP sergeant Afrim Bunjaku gave his life", said Konjufca.

He added that the consequences of Russia's aggression against Ukraine have affected the European continent in terms of peace and security, politics and geopolitics, more than in the second world war.

"When Russian aggression in Ukraine has completed two and a half years, as an attempt by Russia for the classic territorial expansion over Ukraine, the consequences of such aggression have affected the European continent. Due to not giving a decisive response in 2014 to the invasion of Crimea, but treating Russia as a despotic partner, Europe today is facing a war that is not only about the fate of Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a nation, but this war is also a decisive battle for the democratic order in Europe that was built after the fall of the iron curtain in 1989", said Konjufca.

The head of parliament further added that in the regional and Balkan context, Russia's aggressive aggression in Ukraine represents the first act of a strategy of the broader destruction of Europe, where according to him, of course, the Balkans in the center alone with Serbia as an extension of Russia would be the second chapter of this strategy

"Neither Russia nor Serbia have given up on this strategy. This term "Serbian World" that was officially presented by the Serbian authorities is an identical copy of the "Russian World" that Putin explained earlier," said Konjufca.

Konjufca added that Serbia has served Russia in its struggle to destabilize Europe, keeping the Balkans in tension through its open aspirations in the three states of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro. /Telegraph/
