Conceicao will resign if he wins the Coppa Italia with Milan

Milan coach Sergio Conceicao will reportedly resign if he wins the Coppa Italia next month, while the Rossoneri will sack him if he fails to lift the trophy.

Milan and Conceicao have already decided that they will part ways at the end of the season.

Calciomercate is the latest Italian media outlet to report that the 'Rossoneri' will have a new coach in the 2025/2026 season.

However, this medium has added an interesting detail about the coach's departure, saying that he will leave the club if he leads Milan to triumph in the Coppa Italia final against Bologna on May 14.

Conceicao has signed a contract until 2026, replacing fellow countryman Paulo Fonseca in December, but the club's board can terminate the deal at the end of the season.

Even though Conceicao won the Super Cup in January by defeating Juventus and Inter and finished the season undefeated against the Nerazzurri, Milan's results in the league have not improved under his leadership, as they sit ninth in the table with four games remaining.

According to the report, Milan has already decided to change their coach for next season.

Massimiliano Allegri is among the leading candidates and Conceicao surprisingly mentioned his name in the last press conference after the 2-0 victory over Venezia.Telegraph/
