Clark witness in the trial of former KLA leaders, Rama: Terrible when rescuers face the court

Former NATO Supreme Commander Wesley Clark has been officially confirmed as a defense witness in the ongoing trial of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has reacted to this, describing it as terrible when Kosovo's rescuers face a court, reports Telegrafi.
"Isn't it terrible to think that the saviors of a time when the very existence of Kosovo was on the edge of the long knife of historical injustice against Albanians, must appear before a court that has completely departed from the object for which it was established, to prove that the fight for freedom is not a crime, that rebellion against a national-socialist dictatorship is not a sin, that the new and sovereign state of Kosovo did not emerge from the womb of a criminal enterprise, but from the blood of a liberation army?!" says Rama.
Furthermore, he wrote that it is a shame how Hashim Thaçi is being treated.
"What a shame for international justice and even worse for the digital Albanians, fans blinded by supposedly patriotic stupidity, who even behind the bars of this screaming injustice, see and treat Hashim Thaçi as a political enemy, wishing him never to leave there again; while when their reputation and reputation have been forgotten and that court has only the stain of historical shame left, Hashim's name will forever remain as the name of the man who became one with the fate, freedom and independence of Kosovo," he declared.
Otherwise, former NATO Supreme Commander, Wesley Clark, has been officially confirmed as a defense witness in the ongoing trial against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
This was announced by the Special Court in the announcement made on October 22.
"In accordance with the order of the Judicial Panel dated September 2, 2025, the Defense of Mr. Hashim Thaçi announces that it has received authorization from the United States government to use the statement and testimony of its final witness, General Wesley Clark," the announcement states.
Clark, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, led the NATO intervention in 1999, which played a significant role in Kosovo's freedom.
Otherwise, the trial against the four former KLA superiors began in 2023, three years after their arrest and transfer to the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
Now, over two years after the start of the process, the trial against them is approaching its final phase, after last month the defense team of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi presented the first witnesses. /Telegraph/
