Citizens ingeniously prevented a neighbor's house from catching fire in Los Angeles

The fires in Los Angeles are not going out. Officials have confirmed at least ten deaths, but the death toll could rise once investigators are able to safely enter settlements.

Images from the area affected by the fire are being shared on social networks, and one of them has caused a lot of attention recently on the X platform.

On Wednesday evening, the fire engulfed the hills above Hollywood Boulevard and helicopters participated in the firefighting.

Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate. In these difficult circumstances, many people help each other, and ABC7 television cameras have recorded several people helping their neighbors to prevent the fire from engulfing their home.

In front of a house there was a palm tree, the top of which was burnt and the locals were afraid that its embers might fall on the house.

"It is worrying that the embers are falling. It may have burned down this house and the house next to it. You know how it goes — one house becomes two, and two becomes ten real quick," Tim Caputo told ABC7.

To prevent the fire from spreading, a group of people used a surveillance video camera in one of the threatened houses to contact the owners who had already evacuated.

The owners gave them access so they could get the pipe, and then neighbors climbed onto the roof and sprayed water on the palm tree, as embers from it began to fall onto the street and into the house below.

Otherwise, after 40 minutes they managed to put out the flames. /Telegraph/
