An act of civic honesty has attracted the attention of the Kosovo Police in Suhareka.

On March 6, 2026, citizen VF from the village of Peqan, while passing by a restaurant in Suhareka, found 300 euros in cash on the ground. She immediately reported the incident and handed over the funds to the Suhareka Police Station at around 20:15 p.m. the same day.


After verifying the security cameras, the Police identified the person who had lost the money – a citizen from Suhareka – to whom the funds found at the station were then handed over.

Regarding the case, the Kosovo Police said: "We thank the citizen for her exemplary action and encourage all citizens to follow this model of honesty and cooperation with institutions."

The police also reminded that taking a foreign object, even if found on the street or anywhere else, constitutes a criminal offense and is punishable under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
