Chelsea are leading the race to sign Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, with discussions currently taking place between the club and the player's agent, Ali Barat, reports Eduardo Burgos.
While no agreement has yet been finalized, the talks are considered positive.
The 20-year-old Spaniard has become one of the Premier League's standout young centre-backs this season, attracting interest from top clubs.
However, Real Madrid and Liverpool are now considered unlikely to pursue the deal further, leaving Chelsea in a strong position.
Huijsen, who has a €50m release clause, is being targeted as part of Chelsea's ongoing strategy to build around elite young talent.Telegraph/
