Asylum seekers have been filmed partying and fighting inside Britain's largest asylum seeker centre.

According to British mediaIn the footage, a group of men can be seen dancing and singing in a recreation area, while other footage shows a fight breaking out between some of the 1,200 “small boat migrants” stationed at the former RAF Wethersfield base in Essex.

As it goes on to say, Kurdish men can be seen dancing in a discotheque area with flashing lights and a sound system.

A security guard appears to be filming the group while other groups of men are musing and playing billiards.

A third segment shows a fight breaking out between some of the migrants in a common area, with men throwing trays at each other as security staff try to separate those involved.

The footage is said to have emerged just a day after Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood announced plans for the toughest asylum crackdown in years.

The footage is thought to have been filmed shortly before the Labour Party took power in July last year, but has only just been released.

Sources from the Interior Ministry said the videos were made before the general elections.

Local residents in the nearby village of Wethersfield were against the conversion of the former RAF base into a centre for migrants - and are categorically against the expansion of the facility.

In last year's general election, Sir Keir had said he would close this facility and stop housing asylum seekers in disused military sites.

Then in July, he announced that it would expand, adding 445 new seats to the center. /Telegraph/
