The Public Prosecution Office is undertaking investigative actions on all reports that have recently been issued by the State Audit Office and that refer to several central-level institutions and municipalities.
"All reports have been submitted to the relevant prosecutors' offices and cases have been filed to verify the findings in the reports," the Public Prosecution Office says.
Regarding the report released on abuses in the State Lottery, the Public Prosecutor's Office says that for the benefit of the investigation and pre-investigation procedure, it has requested an additional report to confirm the preliminary suspicions.
"The goal was that the findings from the Audit report, once they are ready, could be used as evidence in the framework of several cases (investigations and pre-investigations) that refer to the work of the State Lottery," the Public Prosecutor's Office announced.
The Audit Office has recently released several reports with concrete findings. Misdemeanors and grounds for criminal offenses have been found in the State Lottery, the Ministry of Economy, the NOMAGAS Joint Stock Company, and the Municipality of Saraj.
