Carlo Ancelotti enters talks to leave Real Madrid for new role

Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly entered talks to leave Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

In December 2023, it was confirmed that the Italian had signed a new contract which would keep him at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2026.

However, the Italian has previously been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was claimed that the 65-year-old has entered into talks to leave Madrid.

As Globo reports, Ancelotti has re-entered talks to leave Madrid to take on the role of coach of the Brazilian national team.

On social media, they wrote: "The CBF (Brazilian federation) has already resumed contacts with the aim of Carlo Ancelotti being in charge of the national team in the 2026 World Cup."

"The Real Madrid coach was open, but warned that any progress would be conditional on waiting until the end of the Club World Cup."

Spanish news outlet Relevo also confirmed the news initially reported by Globo and stated that the move will not arrive before this summer's Club World Cup. /Telegraph/
