Confirmed: Carlo Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season

Carlo Ancelotti is set to leave his position as Real Madrid coach, with Brazil expected to be his next destination.

The Italian coach has several options available, including staying in Madrid in another role, but his preference is to join Brazil, who are looking for a new coach following the dismissal of Dorival Junior.

Ancelotti had made it public that he would only leave Real Madrid if the club's board decided to part ways with him, even though the Brazilian is in advanced talks with the 65-year-old.

Brazil are keen to name a new coach before the next international break, when they will begin their qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup.

Madrid must clarify their managerial situation ahead of their inclusion in the new expanded format of the Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 14.

The Spanish champions were expected to sit down at the negotiating table with Ancelotti to discuss his future after the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26.
