The Kosovo Business League (KBL) has congratulated the constitution of the new institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, describing this as an important moment for the country.

"We assess this moment as an important step towards institutional stability, the full functioning of the state and the creation of conditions for sustainable economic development," the LBK announcement states.

The President of the Kosovo Business League, Besart Dreshaj, emphasized that the new institutions must act at a faster pace to make up for lost time.

"The new Government and the Assembly of Kosovo must act with increased dynamism to compensate for the time lost for more than a year during the pre-election period and the lack of full institutional functionality," Dreshaj declared.

The business community has welcomed the start of work of the new government cabinet, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, as well as the election of the Speaker of the Parliament, Albulena Haxhiu, and the deputy speakers.

"We consider this an important moment for advancing reforms and strengthening economic stability," the response further states.

LBK has requested that the main priority of the new institutions be the economy and the acceleration of reforms.

"The main priority should be the economy, accelerating reforms in economic legislation and advancing fiscal policies that support the development of the private sector and increasing the competitiveness of the economy," the announcement states.

Likewise, the Business League considers the ratification of pending international agreements urgent.

"Unblocking international agreements that have remained blocked due to the lack of functional institutions is essential for the country's investments, economic development and international integration," the reaction states.

According to the LBK, economic priorities should focus on addressing the skills gap and "brain drain", increasing exports and foreign direct investment, strengthening legal security for businesses, improving access to finance, developing the energy sector and market, combating informality, legislative reforms in the field of the economy, and continuing fiscal reforms.

Finally, LBK emphasized its readiness for cooperation with institutions.

"The Kosovo Business League remains a serious and professional partner in addressing economic challenges and advancing policies that strengthen the private sector and promote the country's economic growth," the announcement concludes. /Telegrafi/
