Bejtullah Destani published the book "Kosovo, a history with documents"

In the Historical Museum of Albania, two valuable books on the history of the country were published: "Albanian letters" by Arthur Evans and "Kosova - a History through documents", which was prepared by Robert Elsie and Bejtullah Destani. The book on Kosovo contains a wealth of documents from the Balkan War to World War II.

Destani said that "with the last order from the late Robert Elsie, he will also prepare the second volume of the book Kosovo through documents, from 1945 to the present day.

"Robert Elsie was a great worker of Albanian history. Shortly before he passed away, he told me that he still had 50 books on Albanian topics. He wrote to many institutions in Tirana and Pristina, but he did not receive an answer", said Destani, a colleague of researcher Elsie for many years.

The books bring the opportunity to study the history of Albania and Kosovo on the basis of original documents, leaving aside myths, speculations and legends.

The book "Albanian Letters" by Arthur Evans contains topics on nationalism, independence and the Albanian League and was prepared by Bejtullah Destani and Jason Tomas.

The books are both in English and intended to reach audiences of English-speaking readers and scholars, and are a tribute to authors Arthur Evans and Robert Elsie.

The books contain accurate evidence and facts, original documents about some of the most important events in the Balkans, Albania and Kosovo, material that strengthens and helps the seriousness of Albanian historiography. /VoA/
