Earlier this week, the famous American singer Beyonce held the first concert as part of her new "Cowboy Carter" tour, which promotes the album of the same name, for which she recently won the prestigious Grammy Award.

Beyonce opened the nearly three-hour concert at SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles with the song "American Requiem," performing in a white cowboy costume with long fringed sleeves, accompanied by a ballerina dressed in red.

Although the concert was visually impressive and the album was a huge critical and commercial success, the tour faced some challenges – especially when it came to ticket sales.

According to foreign media, the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where the first show was held, was not fully filled. A few minutes before the concert was to start, more than 3,000 seats remained empty.

Although speculation began on social media that the tour had “failed,” organizers claim that up to 94 percent of tickets have been sold. However, some sources point out that the problem was partly caused by ticket reselling – many resellers bought them in large quantities and then tried to sell them at higher prices, which led to empty seats.

The situation was further exacerbated by complaints from fans about the exorbitant ticket prices, which amounted to several hundred or even thousands of dollars. Interestingly, in the run-up to the concert, tickets appeared online at significantly lower prices – some even for $20 to $30, indicating a drop in demand and efforts by organizers to meet capacity.

In addition to the awards, it is speculated that Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z's personal lives also affected concert attendance. Specifically, their former friendship with rapper Sean Diddy Combs, who is currently facing serious charges and is in custody, caused some controversy. Although the lawsuit against Jay-Z was dropped in that context, many believe that the negative publicity may have affected ticket sales.

Despite everything, Beyonce still plans to continue touring throughout the United States, and then to Europe, where she is due to finish her shows at the end of July. Although the “Renaissance World Tour” broke records last year and brought in nearly $580 million (510 million euros), the current situation shows that even global superstars can face challenges – whether due to pricing, market conditions or media controversies. /Telegraph/
