The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has praised the Extraordinary Parliamentary Elections held on December 28, 2025 in Kosovo, describing them as an important democratic success and an inspiring example for Albania.
In a public reaction, Berisha emphasized that the electoral process in Kosovo, including the campaign, vote administration, voting procedures and free political competition, demonstrated the functioning of a developing democracy and respect for the will of citizens.
He congratulated the citizens of Kosovo, state institutions and bodies responsible for organizing the elections, as well as political entities for their participation and approach during the electoral process, appreciating the respect for the final result.
Berisha also congratulated Prime Minister Albin Kurti on his victory in the elections, describing the result as a clear expression of the sovereign's will. He also mentioned other political parties, congratulating them for, as he expressed it, their dignified stances during the campaign and their acceptance of the citizens' verdict.
Concluding his reaction, the leader of the Democratic Party described Kosovo as the pride of Albanians and emphasized that the December 28 elections represent an important achievement for the consolidation of democratic order in the country. /Telegrafi/
