Berisha: We will negotiate with the US government for zero tariffs

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting with producers of medicinal plants, a sector he described as one of the most important for the country's natural economy.

"One of the most important sectors of natural Albania. Albania is the richest country in its biodiversity, it has a very large wealth in medicinal plants that have an inexhaustible market that are not supported by the state. We will double the budget for this sector," said Berisha.

On the other hand, he has stated that the opposition's position is to open negotiations with the American government to establish zero tariffs on trade between the two countries. Berisha adds that if this is not achieved, then the government he intends to lead will guarantee subsidies.

"Our position is to negotiate with the US government for 0 tariffs. This is with the request that the US government will respond to us equally. Let's think that the US government does not meet this, we will subsidize you. We will do everything with grants," he said.
