Berisha: The indictment in The Hague against former KLA leaders is a repetition of Serbian propaganda

The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has reacted through a post on Facebook after the indictment was filed by the Prosecutor's Office of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Berisha said that the Prosecution has presented “the most serious charges” and has requested prison sentences of several decades, which according to him, taken together amount to about two centuries of imprisonment. He stressed that he has been closely following the multi-year process and that, in his assessment, no concrete evidence has been presented so far to prove crimes committed by the accused.
In his response, Berisha described the indictment as a repetition of the claims and slanders of Serbian ultranationalist propaganda, linking it to previous accusations of organ trafficking, which he called fabricated fabrications. He added that the former KLA leaders had been NATO allies in the war for the liberation of Kosovo.
In the end, Berisha called on the Court not to be influenced by, as he expressed it, propaganda accusations unprecedented in the history of international justice, and to confirm the innocence of Kosovo's former political and military leaders in the name of the law.
